How to value your car

Take 5-10 comparable listings for the same model, year and mileage, calculate the average, then adjust for condition, history and equipment. You can do this comparison directly in the AutoSell catalogue, and an agent will give you a realistic range for free.

Step 1 — collect comparable listings

Same make, model, year and engine, ideally within 20,000 km of your mileage.

Step 2 — apply adjustments

  • Mileage above or below average
  • Accident history and repainted panels
  • Service history and recent work
  • Equipment (leather, sunroof, navigation, safety systems)
  • Tyres, wheels and suspension condition

Step 3 — check demand

Many similar listings with few views means low demand — price in the lower part of the range.
